CONSTRUCTION H&S AWARENESS (CSCS CARD)

DESIGNED FOR

Designed for construction operatives wishing to undertake the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Health and Safety Test. Course dates are selected so that attendees may take the CSCS test at the local test centre after completion of the course.

You do not need to undertake any training before you attend the CSCS Health and Safety Test however the CITB make it clear that "those with less experience may find that more intensive preparation would be better, such as a one day course." Companies are reminded that they have a statutory duty to provide their employees with adequate health and safety training and many construction employers require not only CSCS cards but evidence of training.

COURSE FEE

This course is only provided as an in-house courses for groups of 4 or more. Prices start at £350 + VAT (£58.75) for a 1/2 Day Course.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course trainees will be aware of their legal duties and responsibilities, the major hazards they may encounter when working in construction and the current standards of control they will be required to achieve to comply with the law and to pass the CSCS Health and Safety Test;

• Health and Safety Laws Relevant to Construction and it’s Enforcement;
• Risk Assessment and Method Statements;
• Health and Safety Executive Hazard Priorities;
• Competence;
• Fires and Emergency;
• First Aid;
• Accidents and Accident reporting;
• Welfare;
• Hazardous Substances.

COURSE DURATION

This is a 1 day course which can be abbreviated to a half day course if required.
