COSHH awareness course designed for those who may encounter or work with hazardous substances at work.  In accordance with the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH), this course will help you identify the risks associated with using and storing hazardous substances and apply suitable control measures.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

By the end of this course delegates will:

a) know how to identify hazardous substances;

b) assess the risk posed by the substance and implement suitable controls to protect themselves;

c) know the hierarchy of control when working with Hazardous Substances;

d) know to use data sheets and keep records;

• Identifying hazardous substances;
• Safety data sheets;
• Risks associated with hazardous substances;
• COSHH Assessment, Avoidance and Control;
• Preventing or Controlling Exposure;
• Health surveillance;
• Storage of substances.
