COURSE OBJECTIVES

At the end of this course delegates will be able to:

a) Assess whether a manual handling operation is necessary;

b) Carry out a manual handling assessment in accordance with current legislation and guidance;

c) Demonstrate an awareness of the principles of human kinetics;

d) Demonstrate an awareness of safe lifting techniques;

• Recording and reviewing risk assessments;
• The dangers of careless and unskilled handling methods;
